Prayer Ministry

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
                                                                            -James 5:16

Pruitt Baptist Church believes in and practices a Christ centered Prayer Ministry. One aspect of this ministry is the church-wide prayer list for the needs of members, friends, relatives and our men and women in the military. These needs are published in the weekly church bulletin and, during Wednesday night prayer meeting all of these are reviewed, updated, and a card to be sent to each person on the list is signed by all present.

To add someone to this prayer list contact the church office by phone or email or call the prayer chain (see below).

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”                                           -Matthew 6:9

Presidential Prayer Team

WORDS FROM THE HONORARY COMMITTEE

Now that the formal election process for our president is over, the work of every Christian and every church begins in earnest. The "healing" of our nation rests firmly with God's people: 'If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land' (II Chronicles 7:14). This is not God's suggestion - it's God’s command! To ignore this is to court ultimate judgment. We hold the key to the future of unity and survival of the nation. Do each aspect of the verse immediately and together.
